Connect your RS-485 meters to the Eziwan Gateway

Connect terminals A(+) and B(-) of your Eastron SDM630 or SDM120 meters—or any Modbus RTU device—to the RS-485 port on the Eziwan Gateway. 9–36 V DC power supply via screw terminal block—compatible with standard DIN rail enclosures. Wiring time: less than 10 minutes per gateway. No modifications to your existing installations are required. The RS-485 bus supports up to 32 meters in series on a single shielded two-wire cable.

The gateway collects Modbus RTU data

As soon as power is turned on, the Eziwan Gateway automatically polls each Modbus RTU meter according to the configured registers. For the Eastron SDM630, the predefined template loads the 120 standard variables (power, energy, cos φ, THD, harmonics per phase). Configurable polling interval from 1 second to 1 hour. Local SD card buffer in case of a 4G outage—no loss of measurement data. Automatic cloud connection via 4G LTE (Zero-Touch Provisioning).

View and send alerts from the Eziwan cloud

Access your dashboard from any browser: real-time load curves, 24-month history, monthly energy summary, and calculation of power factor (cos φ) and total harmonic distortion (THD) per phase. Any Modbus RTU or Modbus TCP device can be configured manually: slave address, register address, register type (Holding/Input/Coil), scale factor, and unit. Compatible with Landis+Gyr, Kamstrup, Socomec, and Siemens SICAM meters, as well as any industrial equipment with an RS-485 port.

Multi-register Modbus RTU/TCP data collection

Query up to 200 Modbus registers per gateway, distributed across multiple RS-485 slaves or multiple Modbus TCP addresses. Supports Holding Register, Input Register, Coil, and Discrete Input types. Polling is configurable on a per-register basis: 1 second for active power, 15 minutes for cumulative energy. Compatible with Modbus RTU over RS-232 and RS-485, and Modbus TCP/IP.

Real-time dashboards

Real-time load curves for active power (kW), reactive power (kVAR), power factor cos φ, total harmonic distortion (THD-V and THD-I), and energy consumed/injected (kWh). Zoom range from 1 minute to 2 years. Comparison between periods (week N vs. week N-1). Multi-site view on a single map.

Smart Threshold Alerts

Configure alert rules for any Modbus variable: peak power exceedance, undervoltage (alert before the circuit breaker trips), abnormal nighttime power consumption. Configurable trigger delay to prevent false positives caused by transient spikes. Acknowledgment with operator comments and a time-stamped alert log.

CSV/JSON Export, REST API

Download your historical data as CSV files for import into Excel or directly into Tableau/Power BI via the OAuth2-authenticated REST API. Data is available in JSON with ISO 8601 UTC timestamps. Configurable webhooks to push data in real time to your data warehouse (AWS S3, Azure Blob, InfluxDB v2, TimescaleDB).

ISO 50001 Energy Report

Automatically generate reports tracking energy efficiency indicators (EEI) required by ISO 50001: consumption per UEP (Basic Production Unit), energy baseline, and reduction targets. 24-Month History

All measurements are stored as time series for 24 months. Raw data is available for the last 30 days; beyond that, data is automatically aggregated by the minute (min, max, average, standard deviation) to optimize storage without losing statistical information. Retention periods of up to 5 years are available upon request.
