Eziwan Gateway is the connectivity layer between your existing PLCs and the cloud of your choice—without modifying the PLC code and without the need for a middleware integrator.
The gateway connects to the PLC as a standard Modbus master—in read-only mode. Your Holding (4x), Input (3x), Coils (0x), and Discrete Inputs (1x) registers are polled cyclically. No impact on the PLC cycle time, no program modifications required. Compatible with all PLCs equipped with a Modbus RTU or TCP interface.

For PLCs equipped with an OPC-UA server (Siemens S7-1500, Beckhoff TwinCAT, Codesys), the OpenVPN/IPSec VPN tunnel makes the remote OPC-UA server accessible as if it were on your local network. Your OPC-UA client connects to the tunnel’s IP address exactly as it would on a local network—without a proxy or protocol conversion.
A comprehensive REST API is available directly on the gateway for custom integrations. Use the GET /api/variables endpoint to read all values in real time, GET /api/history for historical data, and POST /api/write to write logs (with authentication). OpenAPI documentation is available via the gateway’s web interface.
The gateway can be fully configured from the Eziwan cloud—without SSH access or on-site visits. From the portal, you can modify the list of Modbus variables, the polling interval, the MQTT destination, and the alert rules. Changes are applied in real time via the VPN tunnel. Ideal for gateway fleets deployed at your customers’ sites.
