Your Remote Locations Finally Connected —even without fiber, even in unserved areas

Pumping stations, rural infrastructure, utility poles, temporary construction sites—tens of thousands of industrial sites in France lack fiber-optic connectivity. Eziwan Gateway connects these sites via multi-carrier 4G LTE with automatic failover between Orange, SFR, and Bouygues.

Common Problems

Why Traditional Solutions Fail in Remote Locations

🚫

No fiber or ADSL

More than 30% of rural industrial sites in France do not have an adequate fiber-optic or copper connection. Deployment times for a fixed-line telecom connection can exceed 12 to 18 months, at a cost of several thousand euros—which is unacceptable for a monitoring site.

🐌

ADSL Is Insufficient for Industrial Use

Even when an ADSL copper line is available, download speeds are often less than 2 Mbps in rural areas, with high latency and instability that make real-time monitoring impractical. A 4G LTE connection offers 10 to 80 Mbps with a latency of 20–40 ms.

📶

Wi-Fi is limited to a few hundred meters

Long-range Wi-Fi (point-to-point) can operate over distances ranging from 500 m to a few km, but requires a clear line of sight, a dedicated power source at each end, and regular maintenance. 4G LTE has none of these drawbacks.

Multi-Carrier 4G LTE Solution

Dual SIM 4G: A Reliable Connection
even in challenging areas

The Eziwan Gateway has two SIM card slots. Each SIM card can be from a different carrier (Orange, SFR, Bouygues). The gateway automatically selects the carrier with the best signal at each location.

In the event of a loss of signal from the primary carrier (network outage, maintenance, local congestion), the system switches to the secondary SIM in less than 8 seconds—in a way that is transparent to the monitoring system.

Combined Coverage: Orange + SFR + Bouygues
The best possible coverage throughout mainland France and the French overseas departments.
Automatic switchover in less than 8 seconds
Service continuity is guaranteed without any manual intervention.
Multi-carrier SIM card included with subscription
The Eziwan SIM uses the networks of all three carriers via a single MVNO SIM.
Real-time signal monitoring
RSSI, RSRP, and SINR are available in the dashboard to assess link quality.

Use Cases

Remote Locations: Our Typical Use Cases

💧

Water Pumping Stations

Lifting stations, discharge stations, booster stations—thousands of pumping stations in France are located in rural areas without fiber-optic connectivity. Eziwan connects control systems via 4G LTE to monitor levels, pressures, flow rates, and pump status. SMS alerts are sent in the event of overflow or a malfunction.

24/7 Monitoring Without a Landline

Energy and Utility Infrastructure Projects

Electrical substations, high-voltage/extra-high-voltage substations, gas network nodes, and distribution facilities—this equipment is often located in open fields or forests. 4G connectivity with failover ensures the transmission of telecom and SCADA data.

No dependence on a landline
🏗️

Temporary Construction Sites

Construction, civil engineering, and water infrastructure projects—monitoring and measurement equipment deployed temporarily on job sites without permanent infrastructure. Eziwan sets up in minutes and can be moved from one site to another as the project progresses.

Rural agricultural areas

Storage silos, weather stations, irrigation sensors, wine cellars, livestock barns—connected agriculture requires reliable connectivity in areas that are often underserved. Eziwan runs on a battery or 12V solar panels.

ZTP Deployment: Zero Travel for Commissioning

For remote sites, each commissioning trip involves significant costs and delays. The Eziwan ZTP allows the gateway to be preconfigured in the workshop and shipped directly to the site.

01

Factory Preconfiguration

You configure the gateway through the Eziwan web interface: Modbus registers, data acquisition rates, alerts, and VPN.

02

On-site delivery

The gateway is shipped directly to the remote site, to the local operator who lacks network expertise.

03

Automatic Startup

The operator connects the power supply and the RS-485. Within 2 minutes, the gateway is connected to the cloud and data begins to be transmitted.
